Day 20: Outside
The challenge was to go out around town and take a pictures of lines of a building but I didnt get too far outside. This is a picture of my favorite yard decoration. It lights up at night and is so pretty.

Day 21: Shoes (Well a foot and hand)
I love kids bare feet so I just snapped this shot.

Day 22: Addictions
Quaker dips, I can not eat just one and I shouldnt even have one but I crave them. I just went out and bought 11 boxes of them (they were on sale really cheap) right now its my treat if I workout.

Day 23: Teptation/weakness
Reese Peanut butter cups are my favorite candy of all times. I cant pass one up. At halloween I dig them out of the kids stash and hid them. Yes Im a bad mom.

Day 24: Outside fun
I went with my own theme today and that was to go outside and have some fun.

Day 25: Sleeping baby
I love the kids when they sleep they always look so peaceful. Jaden was so cute snuggled up next to his teddy bear and the cutest thing of all is he never hardly ever sleeps with a stuffed animal.

Day 19 How in the (blank)!

Day 19 and todays picture prompt was called "how in the or what the?" So Jonah is a total chocolate hound and so on this day I caught him in the act of enjoying his favorite thing...chocolate. He was sitting on the couch with a cup of chocolate milk, which he got the lid off, dunking oreo sticks into the milk. Todays promple was perfect because apond viewing this scene my first thought was what the *? and then came how in the **** did you get this. Well later I found the lid of his cup comes off pretty easy and then in our panty was one of the kids chairs pushed up against the shelf that has some of our treats. Well instead of getting mad I grabbed my camera and snapped these shots. They are only little for such a short time why get mad just get your camera.

Day 13: Something that gives you grief
Oh boy I have a good one, actually I wanted to take a picture of my husband but he wasnt home so I took a pic of my van. It seems to always have something going on. For the last 2 1/2 weeks the engine light has been flashing and was told not to drive it. Well a friend of our husband works on cars and he was suppose to take a look at it two weekends ago and still hasnt looked it over so in my garage it sits.

Day 14: Junk drawer
I have so many junk places that I really didnt know which one to take a pic of so I decided my junk cabinet. Here holds missing pieces, broken toys and just stuff that I really dont know where to put.

Day 15: I feel pretty
I love to get pedicures but with money being tight I only get one a year and I save that for summer since I live in flipflops during the summer. Well I decided to give myself a pedi. And Jonah wanted in on the picture so here are my newly painted toes and my youngest.

Day 16: Just for kicks
I love these shoes. So comfortable but one of my good friends hate them so I try to make sure I wear them whenever she is around.

Day 17: Weather
I totally missed this prompt so I went out this morning and snapped a pic. The sun was peaking out through the clouds but there is still a chilliness in the air. The kids were waiting at the bus stop so I thought heres my weather pic.

Day 18: A thought
This cabinet use to be my grandmothers who has been gone about 24 years. I loved her with all my heart and not a day goes by I dont think of her. In this cabinet held all her treaures and I loved to open it and play with the stuff inside. Now I have my own treasures inside.

Im thinking this project challenge needs a name something to make it more personal for me so Im playing with the name of a day in the life... now I need to fill in the ... any suggestions?

So here is 5 days of photos.

Day 8: Capture laughter
My boys were playing with a helicopter and my oldest was making it crash and then the youngest would crack up which would make my oldest start laughing.

Day 9: out and about and use your cell phone
I couldnt help but take this picture. My son and my friends son were so happy driving the car shopping cart that I just had to capture that moment.

Day 10: An introduction to something new
Ive had this game called Animal scramble for over a year and we have never played it so I thought lets get this out and get it going. The kids ages 2 1/2 to 7 1/2 all loved it.

Day 11: Something fun I like to do
So I really loved the Twilight series books and loved the movies (so far) I guess you could even say Im obsessed but not too bad. I started reading New Moon again and at the moment that is what I enjoy doing when I have the time and quiet to do so.

Day 12: A treat
I love to go get iced/blended/frapps mochas. So anytime I can get away and get one its a treat. McDonalds just started selling mochas frapp and I gotta say I really am liking them.

Do you ever have days where you just can see to perk up. Ive been having alot of those lately. The feel sorry for me days, or can it get any worse days, or everyone get away from me days or theres a rain cloud over my head and it wont go away? I often say I want the personality of Tigger but Im really Eeyore. One of my many new years resolutions was to be more positive, happy, glass is half full but already I broke that resolution. Today I was listening to Lady Antebellum for the millionth time (love that CD)and I think every song on the cd reminds me of my life somehow so really I guess my life is a county song. Anyways I thought I would copy the lyrics to the song I have listened to over and over today and a little bit ago I actually listened to the lyrics and then looked them up because although the song is in a way sad it trys to up lift you to help you see things will get better. I also want to dedicate this song to my next door neighbor and best friend Shawna in some ways our lives mirror each other and with the support of one another I think we will survive.

Day 7 Something I like to eat

So day 7 and todays photo challenge is to take a picture of something I like to eat. Well that called for a trip to McDonalds althought my true favorite is the burger king Mocha joe and sausage and cheese crosandwich. But my wonderful neighbor/friend had a buy one get one free coffee at McDonalds so thats where we went this morning. Im going to have to make some copies of this pic and post them all over the house to remind me of why I cant lose weight...hum could it be because I eat this kind of stuff...nah cant be the reason. It just tastes so good how can it be bad.

365 days of photos

Okay I decided to take the 365 day of photos challenge. Can I do it? Not sure but at least this will get me taking some pictures. Im going to try and follow the prompts from Gotta Pixels 365 challenge so we will see what turns up. I dont think I will post everyday but I will at least try to do a week at a time. So since Im starting 6 days behind I went around and took pics today.

Day 1: Take a picture of your neighborhood

Well I couldnt get out today so I decided to take a picture of one of my favorite hand made winter decorations. This was given to me by a lady I worked with 8 years ago.

Day 2: Toys

I took a picture of a doll my grandparents gave me. It was one of the last toys I remember getting from them. She is a very special doll.

Day 3: Take a pic of something you collect
These are kitchen fairies I just think they are so cute. Since I dont have little girls I thought I would collect something cute and girlie.

Day 4: Take a picture of yourself
Well thats not going to happen so I took a picture of Jonah when we were at the hockey game the other day so hes part of me so that counts right?

Day 5: Something Unique
Every year during christmas whenever we get christmas cards I have always put them on the back of our front door and every year people comment of what a great idea it is to do that. So I think its kinda unique.

Day 6: Where do you craft
This was a hard picture to take, its just the corner of my craft room and not the messest. My craft room is such a mess right now and I really want to organize it but I just dont have to time and tools to get in there and get it done. Maybe this will inspire me to get to work.

So now I am caught up lets see if I can keep it up.

Great deal for me at Target today was Keebler cookies. This week they are on sale for $2 and buy 2 get 1 free then each package has a $1 off coupon off one pack. So I got 6 packages of cookies for a total of $2.00. What a steal!

My trip to Albies this week came to $15.84. I sure it could have been cheaper but I still think I did pretty good. I got 4 boxes of Tonys frozen pizza, 12 cans of Campbells cream soups, 2 Litehouse chocolate carmel dips and 2 Nestle halloween themed refridgered cookies.

This week I went to Albies and got 7 boxes of name brand cereal and two big tubes of crest toothpaste and only spent $4.00. Im still so new to the grocery game but it sure is fun to leave knowing how much you just got for such a little amount of money.

Last week we had a class at my house on couponing and how to take advantage of sale items using the coupons. So this past week I set out with coupons in hand and a handy shopping list, thanks to www.fistfulofcoupons.com, I went to Albertsons to see how much I could save. My goal for this trip was to not spend over $20. Well I left the store having spent $25.58 which wasnt that bad and I think mainly I went over because I didnt have coupons for all the sale items due to low ink and I couldnt find all the coupons. So I redeemed $12.75 in coupons which I have had a higher coupon amount in the past but Im pretty happy with what I spent/saved and brought home. Below is a picture of all that I got.

The challenge on Gotta Pixel this week was to use the Comical kit in a not so tradionial way. Defination, dont put kids in super hero costume in the layout. I decided to use pics of Jaden when he was born. He has been a super baby and kid with all he has gone through just to be here with us so in my eyes he is super and he is a kid of steel.

I just saw that my last post was on May 11th. I guess you can say Ive been in a funk lately. I feel like I havent had a moment to myself, my craft room is a disaster and I cant seem to get anything done or even started for that matter. Then to top it all off I had a bad situation happen at Jads so I decided to leave their design team. Long story and Im sad to see it come to an end but it was for the best. Im very happy to say Im still on the creative teams for Scrapdish and melissa Daniel designs. Both teams have super creative people on it and I have had a great time taking part. Now I just have to get out of my funk and get moving and even try and apply for some more design teams. Since its summer I hope to have more "me" time. Well hopefully you will see more things being posted. Stay tuned.

Candle gift tutorial

Wrapped candle

This is a great way to turn a plain candle into a decorative gift.

Supplies:

Pillar candle
wax paper
tissue paper
embossing gun
ribbon
scissors

Cut out a strip of tissue paper that will wrap around your candle.

wrap tissue paper around candle and then wrap a piece of wax paper around the tissue paper/candle.

Using your embossing gun, apply heat to the papers until you can see the wax bond with the tissue.

Remove the wax paper. The tissue paper should now be bonded onto the candle.

Wrap ribbon around the candle and you now have a decorative candle to use as a gift.

Ive been working on a very cute kit called Oh Da-da-dear which is a collaboration between Melissa Daniel and Neverland Scraps.

You can do alot with this kit whether it be Winnie the Pooh and Tigger related or just anything else you can think of. I had a picture of Jonah from halloween dressed as Eeyore and thought that would be perfect to use with this kit.

Since I finished my two layouts for the month for Scrapdish I got to work on a third kit. I got Hugs & Kisses by Designer: Jennifer Maceyunas . This is a very cute kit and is perfect for Valentines day or just any special moment in life. Here is what the kit looks like:

Jadens group the Cardiac Kids had an event to raise money for heart awareness so I used pictures from that event to make these two layouts. There are so many cute items to use in this kit its so hard not to use them all but I tend to like my pages simple so here is what I came up with.

I decided to submit for a design team for Whimsy Stamps. They have pretty awesome and cute stuff and I would love to create with it so today (even though today is the deadline) I worked all day and created 3 things to submit. I wish I would have decided to do it sooner so I couldnt have planned out what to do but I think I did a good job, considering all the interuptions I had today. Im so excited, I got the honor of working on a digital kit before it is even released. Its called Seaside Sunshine by Sara Ellis. The colors in this kit are beautiful. I think everyone should have it in their supplies. This kit will be released on Tuesday at Gotta Pixel Digital Scrapbook store.

Here is a card I made for the Thankful Thursday challenge at Instyle stamps. I made it using more color than I usually do but I think it turned out pretty.

This card I made for a challenge for a sketch challenge on High Hope Stamps Its a great sketch I really liked working with it so in turn I used the finished product to do my challenge on Jads which was to make a valentines Day card and use red and then a not so tradional valentines day color which I used brown.

Its a fry box and the idea originated form Capture the Moment. This one is alittle bit different than last year but I think its going to work just fine.

Well Im back after a week of no computer. I didnt realize how much I really need my computer. Hopefully I will get back to posting. I have to now redo everything on my computer because I lost everything. Oh no! Well looking at the bright side my computer runs a whole lot faster now. I hope everyones holiday was magical.

I have been trying to work on some projects that I can use as Christmas gifts for Teachers and students. This is what I have come up with so far:

Whats my "Style"

So Ive been submitting my cards and layouts to different people to try and get on another design team and I came to one that asked what my scrapbooking style is. Well I really have no idea other than I just sit down and what pops in my mind is what I do. Well after looking at Scrapbooking 101 I think I do have a style. So you can tell me what you think my style might be: Classic/clean/simple, Ephemera, Vintage/Romantic/Shabby Chic or Retro.

On my design team for Jeans Art dolls she gave us a challenge to create a tag using the words Dare to be different, amazing and Unique. This is what I came up with.

Our Craft Lounge

Here is a card I made from a stamp set I just received call Tree-Mendous Love. Its from a new company call Our Craft Lounge http://www.ourcraftlounge.net/. They have some really cute sets. I made this card really really fast just to play before I took off yesterday to see Twilight. I really enjoyed the movie. I cant wait for it to come out on video.

Here is what I came up with for todays MMC Challenge today. We were suppose to either do a color challenge or use a gingerbread stamp so I did both.

Croppinsville Cupcake Kit

The wonderful owner of Croppinsville sent the design team members at Jads a cupcake box kit to play around with. At first it was a challenge because she sent so much wonderful items to use the decorate the box I didnt know where to start but once I starting thinking about what else I come use the items for I just starting going. After working on this project I cant wait to use the december snow kit that I just received. Be sure I will post it here. Well here is what came out of the Cupcake kits.

Okay so maybe 11:15 isnt too late but it is for me. Have you ever started something and then went to bed and all you could think about was finishing...Well that was me tonight. I had started some cards and didnt finish so I went to bed and my mind was on the cards. So here they are:
